Buy 3 from a product range, get cheapest for free
This article describes how to set up the mixedmatch when a customer buys 3 of a product range and gets the cheapest one for free.
-> Start -> Promotions -> Mixedmatches
Click on the green "+" symbol to add a new mixedmatch.
- Description: Fill in a description, so you can find it more easily
- Type: Select "ProductSeries", because you want the customer choose 3 products out of a serie
- Discount type: DiscountPercentage
- Discount on articles: LowestPricesArticle
- Store: Fill in the store if this mixedmatch is only applicable for the specific store
- Promotion: Select the promotion, when this mixedmatch is part of a specific promotion. This can be useful, because you can also make statistics on promotion in RetailVista. You then can figure out how often the promotion has been used and if the promotion has been successful. See also guide Promotions - set up
- Time profile: Select time profile, when you want this mixedmatch to be applicable for a specific timeframe. See also guide Time profiles
- Promotion voucher type: Select a promotion voucher, when this mixedmatch is used after scanning a voucher in the till. See also guide Promotion vouchers
- Date from: Click on the calender icon to add the date the mixedmatch is starting. Clicking on the calender with the "1" symbol, will get you the date of today. When you have selected the promotion, the dates are grayed out, because the dates have been set up within the promotion.
- Date to: Click on the calender icon to add the date the mixedmatch is starting. Clicking on the calender with the "1" symbol, will get you the date of 31/12/2099. When you have selected the promotion, the dates are grayed out, because the dates have been set up within the promotion.
- Discount percentage: Fill in the amount of 100. The product with the lowest price will get 100% discount.
- Amount from colum 1: 3, because you only want to use the mixedmatch when the customer buys the total amount of 3 products.

Choose how you want the mixedmatch to show on your receipt:
NoDetails: No details will be printed at all on the receipt, only the Mixed Match name.
PrintNoPrices: The Mixedmatch name will be printed plus the products scanned, but without prices per product.
PrintOriginalPrices: The Mixedmatch name will be printed, with all products scanned, but with gross prices per product.
PrintDiscountedPrices: Mixedmatch name will be printed, with all products scanned, but with weighted/nett pricess per product.
Click on the "Save" button.

Now you are able to attach products to the mixed match. You can do this manually within the mixedmatch or you can add an articlelist to the mixedmatch. This is the fastest way.
You can easily import an excel file to a productlist. You can create a mixedmatch with 100+ products in it. Using a mixedmatch with more than 1,000 products does not effect the performance of the till.

When the mixedmatch has been finished, you can wait for 30 minutes or force the till to synchronize, so the mixedmatch is immediately applicable. When you scan 3 products from this mixedmatch the cheapest product will have a discount of 100%.
