Create gift card type for your own gift card
Administration > Promotional >> Gift card types
Create gift card definition
Administration > Promotional > Gift card definitions
Create product
Start -> Products -> Product maintenance
Create a product for the gift card.
Product is without VAT and without stock.
The product is classified as "No revenue".
No discounts are allowed on this product, it is not a revenue product, and the product type is: Gift card. Select the gift card type, and uncheck the option to include it in stock value.
Create gift card payment method
Administration > Point of Sale > Payment methods
Payment method: Select Gift card integration here
Gift card type: Select the gift card type that was just created.
Generate gift cards
Start -> Gift cards -> Gift card tasks -> Generate gift cards
Start -> Gift cards -> Gift card tasks -> Gift cards
Choose 'Export gift cards production file' under Gift card tasks on the left side of the screen.
This excel file contains the card numbers with the PIN codes.
It is also possible to use a digital gift card, for which you need to follow mostly the same steps except for the last one, generating card numbers.
For digital gift cards, a predefined range is required from which a random number can be selected for the creation of a card.
Under Extra > Extra > settings > Gift card integration > RetailVista, a range can be specified:
