Discount agreements

Within RetailVista it is possible to have multiple discount agreements / bands.

Landscapers who visit the garden centre on a daily bases could be set-up to receive 20% discount on the high margin groups, but on the low margin groups 5% and on fuel 0%.

Staff on the other hand receive less disount, they could have a staff card which gives them 10% on the complete assortment, but only when payed in cash or chip & pin.

To set-up a discount agreement for instance for a Landscaper, do the following;

Open RetailVista Backoffice
Select Promotions
Select Discount agreements
Click the add button to create a new discount agreement.
Fill in the details below, as a default percentage you could fill in 20% for instance.
On the tab Classifications you can further define the agreement.

Note: when your trade customers, landscapers, family or staff have an identification card (not a savings card, but a card to identify them on), make sure you set the parameters to:

  • Customer bound = no
  • Product bound = no
  • Loyaltycard bound = yes
  • Loyaltycard type = landscapers / trade / family / staff (whatever identification card types are created for you)

The discount(agreement) won't be applied if you have set loyaltycard bound to yes.

In the example above RetailVista can use a trade or staffcard as an identification card. But we can also use card's for savings / loyaltycards. In that way we use the cards to save points on (for instance 1 point per Pound spent).

Assigning Discount Agreement to Customers

Navigate to Customer Maintenance ->Find the customer and click the "Edit" icon. Change the Discount agreement field in the general tab as shown below -> Hit save

Creating a loyalty based product discount/mixedmatch

If you want to make a product discount or mixedmatch which only activated when applying a loyalty card you first create
discount agreement by going to discount agreement.
This discount agreement only needs a name and the options loyaltycard bound and loyaltycard required checked. (image 4)
This will function as a requirement for the product discount or mixedmatch.
Now create a product discount or mixedmatch as usually, but add this previous made discount agreement
as a requirement on the tab "requirement".  (image 5). This way the product discount only activates when the requirement is met.
