Discount item conditions

It is possible to set discount product conditions if you want certain products to receive a discount when a certain condition is met. You can use this for product discounts, discount agreements, or Bonus Savings. For example, if a specific product has a discount or is free when purchasing another specific product.

We use 2 examples to explain this.

Example 1: If a customer buys 3 items of dried flowers, the customer will receive a 10% discount on antique vase.

-> Start -> Promotions -> Discount product conditions

Click on the green "+" symbol to add a new discount product condition. 

Description: Description
Condition rules: Specify number of columns from rules
Number of columns: 3 (because the customer must buy 3 items of dried flowers)

Use the "Save" icon to save this discount product condition.

Now we need to reopen this discount product condition to add the dried flowers product.

Click on "Add rule" on the "Rules" tab to add a new rule.

Product: Fill in the relevant product.

It is possible to set this for a specific supplier, brand, product category, or cash register group.

Click on the "Save" icon to save the rule.

We have created a discount product condition for 3 dried flowers, now we link this to antique vase.

-> Start -> Promotions -> Product discounts

Product: Fill in the product for Antique Vase here
Discount type: Tiered
Quantity: 1
Discount percentage: 10%
Select a specific promotion or fill in the start date or end date.

-> Tab "Conditions".

Discount product condition: Select the discount product condition

Click on the "Save" icon.

Once the above is completed, wait for 30 minutes or force the cash register to synchronize so that this applies immediately. In the cash register, you will see that if a customer buys 1 item of "Dried Flowers", there is no discount on "Antique Vase". The discount only applies if the customer buys 3 items of "Dried Flowers".

Example 2: If a customer buys 1 large grill plate, the customer will receive 2 items of serving trays 34x23 cm for free.

Start -> Promotions -> Discount product conditions

Click on the green "+" symbol to add a new discount product condition.

Use the "Save" icon to save this discount product condition.

Now we need to reopen this discount product condition to add the grill plate item.

Click on "Add rule" on the "Rules" tab to add a new rule.

Product: Fill in the relevant product.
