When starting POS, it is checked whether the computer name matches the name known in RetailVista. If the name of a PC is changed, it is necessary to reinstall RetailVista POS. During the reinstallation, this POS terminal will not be shown as a free terminal, because it is already linked to a computer name.
By logging in as GlobalAdministrator, a computer name can be cleared. Logging in as globaladministrator can only be done by NedFox and NedFox resellers. Standard users (including Administrators) cannot modify a computer name for a POS terminal.
After logging in as GlobalAdminstrator, go to Administration -> POS terminals. Use 'Advanced search' to display the POS terminals of a company for which an adjustment needs to be made, and then modify the desired POS terminal. In the mutation screen, clear the computer name and save the change. From this moment on, this POS terminal will appear as a free terminal.
