If the Adobe Reader software is not installed on a workstation, printing will not work properly. This can result in printing over the margins, not printing landscape (horizontal reports) when necessary, and printing an ugly title and URL as a footer.

When printing a report, the above toolbar appears. This allows a report that is currently on the screen to be printed on the printer or exported to PDF, for example.

When the user selects 'Print' (3rd and 4th icons from the left), an internal PDF file is sent to the printer. The user should see the print options from Adobe Reader (see the image below).

Most likely, when printing, the user will not see the above print options from Adobe Reader, but the print options from the browser itself.

This can have several causes. Check the following settings:

-In the browser, go to Tools - Manage Add-ons:

Check if Adobe Reader is listed as an add-on in the browser, and make sure Adobe Reader is enabled.

-It is possible that the Adobe Reader plugin is being blocked. Check in Tools - Internet Options - Advanced tab if 'Enhanced Protected Mode' is not enabled. This, combined with IE11, will block the PDF Reader.

Turn off the check mark:

-If the above does not work, or if the settings are already correct, reset Internet Explorer to the default settings:

oExtra - internet options - security - set all zones to default level

-If it still doesn't work, reset IE completely to default:

oExtra - internet options - advanced - Reset

-As a last resort: Reinstall both IE and Adobe Reader:

oFirst, download the latest Internet Explorer or make sure an alternative browser is available.

oRemove IE: Control Panel - Turn Windows features on or off

oRemove Adobe Reader from the PC

oRestart the computer (important!)

oReinstall IE

oDownload and install the latest Adobe Reader
