How do I activate RetailVista Mobile X?
If it still asks for an activation code, it can be retrieved in the following way.
1) First log in to RetailVista.
2) Choose 'Administration' at the top of the screen:
3) Then choose 'Mobile devices':
(The user must have sufficient rights)
4) Double-click on the record, and select the 'Activation' tab. This QR code can be scanned, or the code can be entered to activate the scanner.
In case of multiple mobile devices: the correct device number is indicated on the packaging of the device. Choose the record with the correct device number.
Standard user
A standard user can be linked to each device. In this case, it is 'Gijs vdl 2.' To do this, the highlighted field must be changed to a user of choice. This must be a scanner user.
The advantage of this is that it does not constantly ask for login credentials. A disadvantage is that you do not know exactly what each employee has done on the scanner.
Functions
In order to quickly determine the functions from here, we can click on the sheet next to the user:
Then, we can choose a security role on the 'Security' tab. Then click on the highlighted symbol again to add or modify functions there:
You can quickly modify the security role RV Mobile. On the 'Applications' tab, you can add or remove functions by clicking on the highlighted icon. These are the items in the menu of RV Mobile X:
At the top of the screen, you will find information about how many CALS applications are active and how many are still available for use:
In this case, there is no active scanner, so there are 0 CALS applications active. There are still 30 unused CALS available. This allows for various combinations to be made; 3 devices with 10 applications per device, 2 with 15, and so on.
This is possible as long as there are enough device licenses available.
