How do I configure a Magellan 2200vs block scanner?

There are new and old models in circulation, but in any case, scanners newer than 1-5-2015 are equipped with new software. Barcodes in the old manual are not recognized correctly, so use the new manual:  magellan2200vs_prg_820062214.PDF

To set up this scanner, the following barcodes must be scanned.

DO NOT CONNECT SCANNER TO USB
SCAN SWITCH   (PG. 5-4)

Connect scanner to USB

Wait until device USB is recognized

Scan SWITCH

Scan RS232 Label ID control = Disable   (PG. 5-87)

Scan SWITCH

In case of errors, scan  "Return to factory settings" (PG. 5-10)

Additional type barcodes can be activated by scanning corresponding config barcodes together with SWITCH barcode.

New models
