How do I configure an IdeaX book terminal for a branch?

This document describes the configuration of a new IdeaX book terminal connection for a location.

Open the 'Connector' maintenance by clicking on 'Administration' and then 'Search Connector' or by entering 'Search Connector' in the quick navigation menu.

Then add a new provider by clicking on the add icon.

Make sure to choose the correct location.

Some of the configuration is shared between different locations:

- Provider type: IdeaxProvider

- URL: https://kprs.idea-x.nl/terminal/development/kassaservice.asmx

- Custom parameters: Channel=Het Goed (note the space)

- Regex: 4[0-9]{6}

The Regex property is based on the current barcode range used by the Deventer, Harderwijk branches, and the test system at the headquarters. If a different barcode range is going to be used, it is best to contact support@nedfox.net.

Finally, enter the login details of the IdeaX terminal for the specific branch.

In addition to configuring the connector, a product must also be set in RetailVista to be used as the default product for selling books.

This can be set via Extra -> Settings -> Products -> Default product number for IdeaX book terminal.

This is essentially a VAT L product without a barcode and with the description "Books book terminal".
(the description is overwritten by the data from IdeaX)

After the cash registers have been synchronized, the book terminal integration can be used.
