In order to use the Ingenico Lane 5000 with RetailVista POS, the Pepper platform from Treibauf is used.

The necessary files are automatically included during the installation of POS (see binaries):

If for any reason it is necessary to install these manually, it is important to use the files from the binaries of this QA. These are the 32-bit files with the correct version (Pepper(NG) 18.1.509.23040 - Weekly 09 - Windows 7 and higher x32) of the integration. Using other files can lead to very unpredictable behavior.

An exception is the configuration file pepper_config.xml. To prevent the need to configure the license after each update, we do not include this file from the installation or update. It can be found in the binaries of this QA.

The license file is the only file that is not provided by NedFox and therefore needs to be manually placed as it differs per cash register. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, Treibauf does not offer the possibility to retrieve and load this license online.

This file must be placed in the installation directory of RetailVista POS.

Normally, that is: C:\Program Files (x86)\NedFox\RetailVista POS

The name of the license file must now be specified in the configuration file (pepper_config.xml) of Pepper.

The XML Node <PepperConfig><License><File> the relative path to the license file.

In the example file, reference is made to the test license, this should be replaced by the actual license of the respective cash register.

Pepper has its own additional folder structure that is automatically created by RetailVista POS when an EFT terminal is configured of the type TreibaufPepper for the respective POS terminal.

Configuration Ingenico Lane 5000

The Ingenico Lane 5000 must be configured to use the ZVT protocol.

To check or configure this, the menu can be opened by pressing the 'F', 'Clr', and 'Ok' keys in this order.

Next, the 'F' key can be used to navigate to function 513, where the protocol can be set to ZVT or OPI. It should be set to ZVT.

The IP address of the terminal is needed for the configuration in RetailVista. By navigating from the main menu to function 529 using the F key, the diagnostic info is displayed. The IP address is one of them, note it down.

It is important to keep the default händler password (12345) as Treibauf uses it to print the end-of-day count, for example.

The default Kassierer password is 56789.

Configuration in RetailVista ERP

To complete the configuration, only an EFT terminal needs to be created and set up.

The payment terminal should be created with the type 'Treibauf', apart from a description as desired, no further configuration is needed:

Finally, select the newly created type of payment terminal and enter the correct IP address of the EFT terminal.
