How do I print an EU logo on a Sato printer?
For the EU Plant Passport, it is mandatory to print an EU logo on labels. On Sato printers (both the CL4NX and the PW208), it is possible to print a pre-loaded logo from the printer memory. The logo must first be loaded into the printer's permanent memory via the All-In-One tool. The logo is assigned a number, with the first logo always being number 1. The image below shows the graphics upload of a logo.
The image below is the screen that appears next, and the 'Select' button behind 'Graphic path' can be used to upload a BMP file. For this product, there is a ZIP file attached containing an EU BMP logo suitable for Sato printers.
After adding the logo, you can click on 'Display' to request an overview of all the graphics in the Sato printer. There is also a blue button behind each image that can be clicked to directly print the logo. This will confirm that the logo can be printed correctly.
The final adjustment is a change in the label layout. Using the command <esc>GR followed by the number of the graphics file in the printer's NVRAM, the requested logo will be printed at the previously specified XY position. In this example, the command to be used is <esc>GR1. Please note that a preceding command is required to set the desired XY position.
