How do I set a cut-off time for printing turnip lists?
It is important for the order picking team to handle all orders up to the cut off time every day. If this is not possible (due to capacity constraints), it will not be possible the next day either, and the problem will only grow bigger. In essence, it means that the order picking team must handle everything that has been printed each day before going home.
Since printing needs to be restarted at some point, RetailVista allows for setting both the cut off time and the number of 'Break' hours. After the cut off time, once the specified number of hours has passed, printing will automatically resume. It is logical to set the cut off time and the subsequent 'Break' hours in a way that printing only resumes after the warehouse is closed and everyone has gone home. This way, there will be reports ready for the next day's picking when the warehouse opens.
The setting of the cut off time and the number of break hours following it can be adjusted in the sales order classification.
