How does the Payment Service Provider integration work in RetailVista?

Starting from the spring 2022 update, RetailVista has a Payment Service Provider (PSP) integration. With this integration, RetailVista can automatically process refunds. The spring 2022 release includes an integration with Buckaroo. It is expected that this will be expanded with other providers in the future, such as Adyen.

In order to enable automatic refunds, it is essential that the reference of the original Buckaroo payment is known in RetailVista. In the webshop order message, there is a field 'Reference' in the payment section. A correct reference must be provided by the webshop party that is known to the PSP. This reference will ultimately be visible in RetailVista for the down payments.

Starting from the RetailVista spring 2022 update, payment references from the webshop order message will be converted to the new field 'reference'. As part of this update, all existing data from the old 'comments' field has also been converted to the reference field.

In the task scheduler, a new type of schedule can be created to automatically send down payment refunds to the payment provider. This task schedule can be executed a maximum of once per hour, but it is recommended to do it once per day. If a refund cannot be processed, the status of this refund will be changed to 'Rejected' and the refund will have to be done manually or in another way. The main expected cause of this is an incorrect original down payment reference.

This PSP integration has a license 'PSP integration' which requires a connector for each provider (Buckaroo, etc.).Moreover, the PSP integration only works as part of the 'Sales Orders Plus' license.
