Article summary

This document describes how to perform a warehouse inventory count and how to process it afterwards.

A warehouse inventory count ensures that a check can be carried out for the physically received/delivered goods from a supplier.

This count is then compared with the receipt document to verify if the quantities from the receipt document match the actual number of goods delivered.

The warehouse inventory count must be performed within RetailVista Mobile (make sure the necessary application “Warehouse Inventory Count” is activated).

After starting RetailVista Mobile, you can initiate the “Warehouse Inventory Count” functionality, see below:

Then, you need to provide a document number and click on the search button:

The document will be displayed below.

Now you can start adding the items and quantities by scanning an item or by tapping the “New Line” button.

After scanning the item, the information of the item will be displayed, and you can specify the counted quantity under the option “Warehouse Quantity”.

Once you have specified the quantity, choose to save, and you can optionally scan the next item in the document.

The order in which you enter the items can be random.

Once you have completed the warehouse inventory count, you can process it, and the count will be processed in the receipt.

Look up the receipt, then choose “Process Warehouse Inventory Count,” and the associated inventory count will be displayed in the column behind the description “Received Product Header.”

Now choose “Ok” to process the count, and the count will be processed for the receipt.

If the warehouse inventory count differs from the packing slip quantity listed in the receipt, for example, if 8 units are counted but the packing slip quantity is 10, then the receipt will be adjusted from 10 to 8 units.

This will also be directly reflected in the stock level of the respective item.
