Kitchen and Drinks Notes

You may wish to give the product the option of pre-set notes such as "extra mayo", "Gluten Free", etc. RetailVista allows you to use pre-set notes and also ad hoc notes typed in manually when the item is added to the till sales screen.

Note - If you do not add pre-set notes, the notes box will still appear ready for you to add a note. Just click enter on the till to bypass the notes entirely. The notes are printed out for the Kitchen or Drinks staff and are not shown on the till after being added.

Creating Pre-set Notes 

Navigate in the Backoffice to Products->Product Maintenance->Kitchen Notes Shortcuts

Here you will see any you had previously.

To create your first or an additional note click the green "Plus +" symbol in the tool bar.

Choose your Kitchen or Drinks product group and add a name for the note "extra salt", "No mayo", etc.

Note - Products that live in the Kitchen Product group will offer the Kitchen notes, products in the drinks product group will offer the drinks notes).

In the Till

When adding a kitchen or drinks item to the sale, the notes box will appear (if applicable).

Either add your own note or click the following symbol to choose pre-set notes.

Notes screen below - Click OK when done.

When choosing from pre-set notes, highlight and click "OK".
