Making Reservations - Manually

This article describes the procedure how to work with reservations for sale orders without reservations. In the situation when the sale order was processed there was not enough stock, but when there is enough stock you want to make a reservation for these orders in order to be able to deliver these products when they next arrive.

When the sale order setting is set to make a reservation automatically when making a sale order, please see guide: Making Reservations - automatically.

Because the reservations have not been made automatically, we need to generate the reservations manually.

Backorders with stock

-> Start -> Sale orders -> Report 126 - Backorders with stock

It is possible to check first which orders can be delivered based on enough stock. Print report "126 - Backorders with stock". This is not necessary, but can give you extra information about the outstanding sale orders.

Generate reservationrows

-> Start -> Sale orders -> Generate reservationrows

Store: Generate reservation rows only for a specific Store
Purchaseorder: Generate reservation rows only from a specific purchaseorder
Saleorder: Generate reservation rows only for a specific sale order
Received Products Bookmark: Generate reservation rows only from a specific received products / goods-in bookmark
Customer: Generate reservation rows only for a specific customer
Force pickup location: Can be selected to force a specific pickup location. Forced pickup location can also be set via Saleorder classes.
Generate reservation after generating the rows: It is recommended to check this box, so you don't have to generate the reservation manually after this step.

 Click on "Start generating reservationrows".

If you don't fill in any of the fields, all possible reservationrows will be generated.

In our example we generate reservation rows based on saleorder 1101.

After clicking on "Start generating reservationrows" a green line will show up with the tasknumber. Below you can click on "Download report file" to see more information.

This same file can also be looked up and downloaded in -> Extra -> Tasks

Here you will see the same report, that you also can download from this point.

In the sale order you will find the reservation.
