Minimum system requirements

In terms of system requirements, Nuvio is supported on all Windows, Android (Google), and iOS (Apple) operating systems that are actively supported by these vendors. At the time this help page was written, these versions were Windows 10 (until October 2025), Android 16, and iOS 17. It is very likely that Nuvio will still function on slightly outdated versions of these operating systems, but eventually a point will be reached where they no longer function properly or are even actively blocked when attempting to start Nuvio. The same minimum requirements apply to browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and other third-party browsers like Firefox and Opera. As long as they are mainstream browsers and still maintained by the vendor, Nuvio will function correctly on them.

App

The minimum system requirements for using the app are stricter compared to using Nuvio as a mobile website. Installing the app always happens through the App Store or Play Store. Both Google and Apple enforce strict rules regarding the Android and iOS versions that an app is allowed to support. At some point, software providers are required to stop supporting older Android and/or iOS versions, and at the same time they are obligated to support newer versions. For this reason, the app will become incompatible with outdated phones sooner than the mobile-optimized Nuvio website.
