Minimum system requirements

Prev Next

The current minimum system requirements for the latest RetailVista LocalServices software are Windows 11 (any version) with the amount of RAM recommended by Microsoft for that Windows version. If you are using an older version of LocalServices on an outdated OS, it is likely to continue functioning as long as there are no changes to software or hardware. However, there may come a point when older LocalServices versions no longer work properly with a recent RetailVista update. In that case, an update of LocalServices will be required, and it is possible that the older OS may not be compatible with the new version of the software.

LocalServices software has a successor
No further development is being done for LocalServices. The software is still supported, and we provide assistance if needed. For new installations or when replacing PCs, we recommend installing RetailVista Bridge instead. This software is the successor to LocalServices. Bridge is more stable than LocalServices under poor network conditions and can print not only labels but also A4 reports. Eventually, all RetailVista reports will be printed directly via the Bridge software.

We follow Microsoft Windows’ support and end-of-life policy. Once a specific Windows version is no longer actively supported by Microsoft, support for related issues will transition from standard support to paid support. You will always be asked in advance whether you agree to paid support. For end-of-life versions, we cannot guarantee that every reported issue can be resolved. The best advice remains to stay up-to-date with Windows versions. More information about Windows versions is available at https://endoflife.date/windows.
