Order picking types can influence the behavior of picking orders. When starting guided order picking on RetailVista Mobile, these order picking types are shown first, after which a choice must be made from this list on how the order picking should take place.
The following data is available:
Description | |||||||||
Type | The following types are available:
| ||||||||
Sales order scenario | If this sales order scenario is specified, only reservations from sales orders assigned to this scenario will be picked.
Transport type | If this transport type is specified, only reservations from sales orders assigned to this transport type will be picked.
Exclude transport type | If one or more transport types are specified here, only reservations from sales orders not assigned to this transport type will be picked.
Issue location | If this issue location is specified, only reservations assigned to this issue location will be picked.
Order size | The following types are available:
| ||||||||
Max reservations | In 1 order picking run, a maximum of the specified number of reservations will be picked
Instruction expiration time | This is the maximum number of seconds a user is given to pick an order picking instruction. After this time, an instruction will be considered expired and there is a possibility that the instruction will also be made available to another user.
Remaining instructions window | TODO
Remaining instructions factor | To ensure that older instructions are eventually picked, they need to become increasingly important. This is achieved by giving an instruction a higher weight. The weight increase factor is specified here. An initial recommended value is 1.2. If it turns out in practice that older instructions are still being neglected for too long, this factor can be increased to make the weight increase faster.
Show countdown timer | Show a timer that displays the remaining number of seconds a user has to handle the order picking instruction.
Force complete reservation... | If this setting is activated, the order picking instructions of a reservation will be assigned to only one user. This user will have to pick the entire reservation.
Required article scan | As part of picking an article, the barcode of the article must be scanned to ensure that the correct article is picked.
Required location scan | As part of picking an article, the requested warehouse location code must be scanned to ensure that it is picked from the correct location. If the order picking instruction is a store instruction, this setting is not relevant.
Carrier support | Are carriers used during order picking? It depends on the carrier print action whether fixed carriers or virtual carriers are used.
Carrier label print action | Printing a carrier label creates a virtual carrier. The following types are available:
| ||||||||
Expired | If a picking type is marked as expired, it will not be displayed as an option when starting picking. |
