Order picking carriers can be described as bins/containers in which products are temporarily placed during guided picking of reservations. There is a distinction between physical and virtual carriers. Physical carriers are bins/containers that you can physically hold and exist in reality. Virtual carriers are carriers created during order picking in the form of a sticker with a unique carrier number. This happens when a product is too large to fit in a carrier. A sticker is placed on the product, and in this way the product is in a temporary virtual carrier. Physical carriers must all be created in RetailVista in advance so that it is known how many carriers are available and what the barcode (number) of each carrier is.
The following fields are available:
| Location | The location to which the carrier belongs |
| Description | Description of the carrier |
| Barcode | Unique barcode of the carrier. If multiple locations are used, it is still important that a carrier number is unique across all locations. |
| Virtual | If a carrier is marked as 'virtual', it has been created during the order picking process as a sticker. |
| Expired | Marking a carrier as 'expired' makes it no longer visible by default. |
