Create a promotion voucher to, for example, scan a (leaflet) voucher at the cash register, so that the discount is applied based on the respective barcode. This can be a one-time voucher or a voucher that can be used multiple times.
Create a promotion via Start -> Promotions -> Promotion periods
Create a promotion voucher type via Administration -> Promotion voucher types
Choose here for the voucher type whether the voucher can be used once or multiple times.
Choose the promotion that was just created.
Create the promotion voucher via Start -> Promotions -> Promotion vouchers
Enter the barcode and the promotion voucher type here.
This voucher barcode should obviously not be an existing barcode of a product.
Otherwise, the product with this barcode will be added to the POS instead of the voucher.
This promotion voucher type can then be applied to tiers, discount agreements, mixed matches, relationship discounts, and loyalty card-related discounts.
By scanning the barcode of the promotion voucher at the cash register, the discount will be applied.
