A sales order is a customer order. A customer can be a consumer, as well as another branch that wants to receive something. In the latter case, a sales order is actually an interbranch order.
A sales order always has a status that indicates in which phase an order is located. The following status options are available:
New | This status means that the order is still being created and allows for immediate modification of an order |
Input complete | This status means that the order is ready in terms of input and suitable for further processing. In general, this will mean that a test sales order can be printed for verification. It is advised to perform this verification together with the consumer. |
Input checked | This status means that the order has been checked for correctness and is suitable for further processing. In general, this will mean that a final sales order can be printed. |
Product | This status means that the order has completed the verification process and can be processed. Processing may involve creating one or more purchase orders from suppliers, as well as generating reservations for order picking and delivery. |
Closed | This status means that the sales order will no longer be considered open and is essentially completed, prematurely or not. |
