Article summary

Important - The Mix and Match offers can work in 2 ways:

1: Type - Standard - This stops products mixing and matching with themselves. This is the setting for gift pack bundles for example - 1 soap, 1 lotion, 1 scented candle = Offer price

2: Type - Product Series - This option allows for multiples of the same product to contribute to the mix and match offer for example - 2 soaps, 1 lotion = Offer Price or 3 soaps = Offer price and so on for all possible combinations

After creating the mix & match in RetailVista Backoffice you are able to attach products to the mixed match. You can do this manually within the mixedmatch or you can add an articlelist to the mixedmatch. This is the fastest way. You can easily import an excel file to a productlist. You can create a mixedmatch with 100+ products in it. Using a mixedmatch with more than 1,000 products does not effect the performance of the till.

When the mixedmatch has been finished, you can wait for 30 minutes or force the till to synchronize, so the mixedmatch is immediately applicable.

Steps to create a simple mixed match:

  • Open RetailVista Backoffice.
  • Select Promotions.
  • Select Mixedmatches.
  • Select the 'add' button + complete the details in the screen which appears.
  • Select MixedMatch type = Product series.
  • Discount type = fixed / solid price.
  • Discount will be calculated and devided over all products.
  • Date from/date to.
  • Net price.

And finally 'amount from column 1', here you will fill in the amount of items of the mixed match, in this example: 3.

In tab 'Advanced' you select if prices of the separate items should be shown on the receipt, or only the net mixed match price.

In tab 'Products' the products are added which exist in the mixed match. Fastest way is by using an Excel file. Of course, this can also be done manually with the 'Add product' button. When the steps above has been completed, wait 30 minutes or force the till to synchronize. Now the till should detect the mixed match.
