Usage of the RetailVista bulk image tool

Using this tool, it is possible to bulk add images to products. The installation can be found at: http://clickonce02.nedfox.net/nedfox.retailvista.imageupload/publish.htm  

After starting the application, the login credentials must be entered first (File -> Configuration), if they are known to you. It is best to log in with your own username, so it can be seen later who added the images.  

Because the naming of the files will be different for each supplier, templates can be created. In a template, you specify how RetailVista should "read" the filename in order to import it.

Below is an example of an image in which the barcode is included in the filename.

In the template, you indicate that the filename is of the barcode type. Because the filename not only consists of the barcode but also contains additional information, you check "Partial filename".

With "Start position", you indicate the first character of the barcode, in this example it is position 4. With "Code length", you specify the length of the barcode, in this case 13 characters. Once you have entered all this information, click on "Save settings".

If the filename contains the order number, a "Supplier number" must also be provided, which can be found in RetailVista.

After all, the order number does not have to be unique and could be used by different suppliers.

You will now return to the main screen where you can select the template you just created. In the "Images folder" field, specify the location of the images by using the browse icon next to these lines to select the folder. If you know the location, you can also type it in directly.

Once all the information has been provided, you can choose "Upload images". In a new window, the progress will be displayed and any error messages will be shown.
