This article describes how to set up wastage, which allows you to be able to control your wastage.
Saletype
We will add a new salestype for wastage.
-> Administration -> Saletypes in Section Financial
Add a new Saletype with the green "+" symbol on the left side of the screenFill in the fields. Make sure "Sale" is unchecked, so wastage will not be marked as sale in your figures. The Export code is the code for exporting to your financial system.
Click on the "Save" symbol.
Customer and Debtor
We will make a new customer and debtor for wastage.
-> Start -> Customers -> Customer maintenance
Close the search screen when it appears. Click on the "+" symbol to add a new customer. You do not need to fill these fields, just Click on "Next".
Fill in "Wastage" in field "Last name" and select the Sale type you just have added: "Wastage".
Click on the "+" Symbol after the field "Debtor", to make a Debtor.
On tab "General" you need to fill in the General name "Wastage", the Search text will be automatically filled with the general name.
Make sure you have checked "Never generate invoices" on tab "Invoice", so you don't need to make invoices for wastage.
Click on the "Save" symbol. Now below screen appears.
Click on "Finish".Paymenttype
We now add a new payment type to be able to process wastage through the till.
-> Administration -> Payment in section "Point of Sale".
Click on the green "+" symbol on the left side of the screen to add a new paymenttype.
Description: Fill in "Wastage"
Paymenttype: Select the paymenttype Invoice
Customer: Select Wastage
Saletype: Select : Wastage
Followup number: Fill in a number to be able to add this as a payment button in the till
Click on the "Save" symbol.
Statistics
-> Start -> Statistics -> Customer statistics
Fill in customer wastage, select the correct dates and click on "Display statistics".
On tab "Sales" you can see more info about the wastage. When you double click on the row, you can also see more information about the transaction.
