Wastage - from RetailVista version 21.11

Wastage has been redesigned. Wastage from RetailVista version 21.11 will not go through 'account sales', but through a separate table in stead. In the table you can add all possible forms of loss or personal use.

Shrinkage types

We will add a new shrinkage type.

-> Administration -> Shrinkage types in section Products

Add a new Shrinkage type with the green "+" symbol on the left side of the screen.

Code: The code is required
Description: The description is required
Alternated ledger: Select a alternate ledger if necessary
Require description: Mark this box if you want a description required when this type of wastage is used
Cancelled: Mark this box when the wastage type is no longer current

Process shrinkage

Wastage can be processed through:

RetailVista Backoffice
RetailVista Mobile 

Shrinkage through RetailVista Backoffice

It is possible to process shrinkage via the Module "Stock" or the Module "Product lists".

Shrinkage through Module Stock

-> Start -> Stock -> Shrinkages

Add a new Shrinkage with the green "+" symbol on the left side of the screen.

Store: Select the specific store
Due date, time: The date and time of the shrinkage
Product: Product
Amount: Amount
Shrinkage type: Select the shrinkage type.
Decription: Fill in the description. The description can be required, depending on the shrinkage type
PurchasePrice: Will be shown automatically and can be adjusted

Click on the "Save" symbol. 

Shrinkage through Module Product lists

-> Start -> Product lists -> product list maintenance

You can add a new product list for wastage and add the product rows.

Click on "To shrinkage" on the left side of the screen.

 Shrinkage type: Select the shrinkage type.
Description: Fill in the description. The description can be required, depending on the shrinkage type
Delete rows after import: check this box, when you want the productlist to become empty after the rows have been set to shrinkage

Click on "Execute".

The processed shrinkages can be found: -> Start -> Stock -> Shrinkages

Shrinkage in Product statistics

In Product statistics "Shrinkage" is also available.

Shrinkage through RetailVista Mobile 

 Select "Shrinkage" from the main menu.

 Product: Here you can scan the barcode

Shrinkage type: Select the shrinkage type
Amount: Fill in the amount
Description: Fill in the description, if required

Click on "SAVE".

The processed shrinkages can be found in RetailVista Backoffice: -> Start -> Stock -> Shrinkages
