Follow the steps below to determine the possible reasons why an address label is not printed. It is assumed that the procedure for setting up a Post NL package integration has been followed (QA xxx).

1 - First, print a Windows test page. If it is not printed, there is a problem with the Windows printer settings/driver/hardware.

2 - A simple cause could be turning off and on the printer again. In practice, it has been found that after printing a Windows test page, the printer enters a mode where it no longer accepts the Post NL Zebra language.

3 - Check if the LocalServices software, to which the printer is connected, shows a 'green light' in the Windows system tray. A green light means that the connection between LocalServices and the central server environment is operational. If it is yellow or red, check the LocalServices configuration.

4 - Check in RetailVista under Extras ->Branches -> 'Webshop' tab if a LocalServices printer is selected.

5 - Check if a reservation that did not print a label is associated with a package service. If not, that reservation will not be pre-registered and as a logical consequence, no label will be printed.

6 - Check the log lines for a package in the 'Packages' tab of a reservation. The log may indicate a problem with the registration with Post NL or that the number of package service CALS (licenses) is insufficient.

If a problem is found with any of the above points, it may be desired to re-register the package, provided that it has not already been successfully done before. This registration can be done from RetailVista POS (as long as the reservation has not been processed yet) or afterwards via 'Send reservation to package service' from reservation maintenance.

If a package already exists but only the printing has failed, it is also possible to choose to reprint the label of a package through reservation maintenance.
