For example, a received deposit on a received webshop sales order, or a manual deposit created in the RetailVista website (back office). Cash deposits must always be processed through the cash register, as cash funds are being received that need to be deposited into the cash register.

If a deposit is not of the type 'Cash deposit', RetailVista requires a description to be linked to the deposit when creating it. The deposit was not made in cash, and for that reason, it is highly desirable to know how the deposit was received. For example, with an Ideal reference number or a bank statement number, etc.

The value of the 'Cash deposit' status cannot be changed later because deposits may already be linked to it. Converting this value could suddenly invalidate those deposits.
