In the printer control codes in RetailVista ERP a QR barcode control code can be configured. This document describes the control code for an Epson TM88 or compatible receipt printer. The screenshot below shows the QR barcode control codes as they should be present.

The full code is too long to fit in the screenshot, but it concerns the following control code:
<gs>(k<eot><nul>1A2<nul><gs>(k<etx><nul>1C<etx><gs>(k<etx><nul>1E1<gs>(k{qrcode-low}{qrcode-high}1P0{qrcode}<gs>(k<etx><nul>1Q0
Copy this text literally into the QR barcode field. After synchronizing and restarting the POS, the receipt printer can use this functionality.
When is the barcode printed?
A QR barcode is currently printed when a fiscal integration is used from RetailVista POS or when a retailer has a Nuvio license.
Nuvio barcode
The Nuvio QR barcode is printed at the bottom of the receipt, instead of the standard return barcode. The Nuvio QR barcode contains all information needed to still scan it within RetailVista POS as a return barcode when returning products. This QR barcode can also be used by the consumer to open the Nuvio website. Within the Nuvio website the consumer can take a photo of this QR barcode to add missed loyalty points to their account. To use the QR barcode in RetailVista POS as a return barcode, a 2D scanner is required. These will be more or less mandatory from January 2027, since products will start appearing that are no longer provided with a GTIN (Ean13) barcode, but with a QR code instead.
