Setting up a discount agreement has the advantage that a discount can be applied to many products at once. An example of this could be giving a certain percentage discount for a sale on, for instance, a POS group, classification, or supplier. It can also be used for a special occasion, such as an evening for loyalty card holders or an early-bird promotion.
Via the menu Start > Promotions > Promotions, you will find the option “Discount agreements”.
Within this option, you can create a new discount agreement. On the “General” tab, multiple conditions/preferences can be specified that the discount agreement must or can meet. Next, on the “Classifications” tab, it must be indicated which products the discount agreement should be applied to.
Setting it up this way ensures that a discount of, in this case, 40% is applied to all products within the classification “Christmas”. It is also possible to organise a special event with a discount on everything. In that case, a classification(s) can be specified based on VAT.
