Installing Nuvio

The installation of Nuvio is very simple and takes place by scanning a QR code. This QR code is provided by NedFox in the form of signs and stickers, and starting with the RetailVista ERP 2026 update it will also be printed at the bottom of the receipt. After scanning the QR code, the mobile Nuvio website is loaded and a consumer can sign in or register with an email address and password. It is possible that a consumer already has a Nuvio account, as Nuvio is used by many stores as a customer-facing app. If a consumer does not yet have an account, the registration process will begin. The registration process can be completed even faster by using the Gmail integration (and in a later update also an Apple integration). As part of the registration, the consumer must accept NedFox’s privacy policy once.

After registering or signing in, the consumer will have a Nuvio account, and a check will be performed to determine whether the store where the QR code was scanned already exists in Nuvio for that consumer. If not, a message will appear and the consumer can choose to add the store. An important part of this step is agreeing to a data processing agreement with the retailer and optionally subscribing to that store’s newsletter.

From this point on, the consumer is logged in and can use all features that the Nuvio platform has made available for the store they have registered with. It is easy for the consumer to switch between different stores, and the Nuvio app will automatically adjust to the branding of the selected store.

Starting in early 2026, an app version of the Nuvio website will also be available in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
