Article summary

Allocated inventory is inventory that is still physically present but not immediately saleable. This includes, for example, showroom inventory. It is present in the normal inventory quantity and therefore also counts towards the total inventory value. However, showroom inventory should not be available for purchase through the webshop. Therefore, it is possible to mark a certain number of units of a product as allocated inventory. Placing products in allocated inventory reduces the available inventory.

Scan the respective product.

Click on "New" in the top right corner.

Location: Enter the location from which the inventory originates. If this field is left empty, it will be deducted from the store's inventory.
Allocated type: Select the type of allocation.
New inventory: Enter the allocated quantity here.

Click on the top right corner to navigate directly to another section of the menu for this product.

Below is an example:

Click on "Save".

Scan a new product to add it to the allocated inventory as well.

The inventory has been updated and can be viewed through Product info and RetailVista backoffice.
