Hospitality groups
First the hospitality groups need to be configured, they determine to which kitchen printer the information is printed.
For this example, we need four hospitality groups:
Burgermenu
Hamburger
Drinks
Sauce
Hospitality groups can be created by going to administration -> hospitality groups and need a description and code.
The description is flexible, and the code determines which kitchen printer the products associated with this hospitality group are printed to
Codes that can be used are 1xx, 2xx, 3xx and 4xx. Where every code starting with a 1 are printed to the kitchen printer configured as kitchen printer 1 etc.
For this example, the following hospitality groups are created.
Burgermenu code 220 (printing to kitchen printer 2)
Hamburgers code 210 (printing to kitchen printer 2)
Drinks code 110 (printing to kitchen printer 1)
Sauce code 211 (printing to kitchen printer 2)
Kitchen note shortcuts
Kitchen note shortcuts can be created by going to administration -> kitchen note shortcuts
The first kitchen note created is the menu itself with the first menu option, the hamburgers. For this we choose the earlier created hospitality group “burgermenu”
(NOTE: For now there aren’t any options to determine de order, all is in alphabetical order. This is why we use 1., 2. etc.)
Which results in the menu structure below. We need to create our other menu options, drinks, sauce and extra’s by selecting the burgermenu and choose for add.
We need to create our other menu options, drinks, sauce and extra’s by selecting the burgermenu and choose for add. In this case “2. Drinks” which is our second menu option.
(NOTE: no products need to be added at this point).
Eventually we do this also for “3. Sauce” and “4. Extra’s” which gives the results as below.
Now the products can be added to the different menu options. For this we select the “1. Hamburger” menu option and choose for add.
Add the product and a description. We don’t use a gross price because these products are a part of the menu itself.
Except for the extra options “mayonnaise” and “ketchup” under extra’s. These options cost €0,50 so a gross price of 0,50 is used, see image below.
Eventually when all products are added to the menu options (kitchen note shortcuts) it will result as shown below.
How this results on the till
This will result in the following behaviour on the till when product #99001099 (burgermenu) is added.
A wizard will pop-up to step true the menu options.
In this case a Fishburger, Fanta, ketchup and extra ketchup is chosen, with the last for an additional €0,50 which is shown on the till as the image below.
The burgermenu itself is printed to kitchen printer 2 and the drinks are printed to kitchen printer 1 according to their corresponding hospitality groups.
