Receipt is being cut at the wrong position

This document explains why a receipt may be cut at an incorrect position by the receipt printer.

In the Backoffice, a line-printer driver is created to ensure that the receipt printer receives the correct print instructions from RetailVista POS.
One of these instructions determines the exact moment when the printer should cut the receipt. This instruction is called the cut-receipt code.

Below is an example of a receipt printer that operates in Epson-emulation mode, including its corresponding cut-receipt code:

The cut-receipt code must be placed exactly at the position shown above within the printer driver.
Only then will the receipt be cut at the correct location.

If the instruction is placed elsewhere in the printer driver, the printer will execute the cut at that position instead.
As a result, the receipt may be cut prematurely — for example halfway through the printout.
