In the settings of RetailVista you can enable the "Maximum return days". If you set this value to, for instance, 28, cashiers can do returns on transactions by scanning the barcode on the receipt handed out to the customer till 28 days after the receipt was made.
If you want to do returns after these 28 days you need to scan the products and change the amount to the negative value. So if 1 BBQ is returned by a customer after 28 days, scan the BBQ and change the amount to -1.
In this situtation the stock on the BBQ is added with the returned BBQ. You could choose to print out a return voucher for the customer. Check the article called 'Set-up return vouchers' for this.
