05-02-2015Mark VroomNAD+DP address field expanded, street is split into street, house number, and house number addition

Essentially, the NAD+DP line has been slightly restructured so that the house number and addition are placed in 2 separate fields. Previously, the address was a combined field where RetailVista calculated the house number and addition with the necessary intelligence. However, this did not always work correctly for complex addresses. More information about the new NAD+DP setup can be found in the following paragraph from the ShopServer documentation:

Required: Customer number and address details of the webshop customer. If these details are provided for an existing customer, RetailVista will update the visit address details. The fields here are 'Customer number (Int64)', 'Address indication (e.g. attention to)' (35 characters), 'Street' (35 characters), 'House number', 'House number addition', 'City' (35 characters), 'Postal code' (9 characters), 'Country code' (2 characters). A house number must be provided with the street, separated by a space. The customer number can be left empty if the webshop does not support customer numbers. An example address is Nieuwweg 14b with the addition text 'Thv Woonboten'.

NAD+DP+13245::9++THV WOONBOTEN+NIEUWWEG+14+B+GROTESTAD++1234AZ+NL'

By the way, the message processing remains backward compatible. It is still possible to provide an NAD+DP line in the old way where the complete address is in 1 field.
