The Pack & Ship website is a separate site from RetailVista, developed for logistics order processors in a warehouse to make the handling of picked orders as simple and efficient as possible. From a sales order, one or more sales order reservations are created, and the aim is for the items in a reservation to be collected. On this website, a series of checks are performed on the reservations, after which the reservation can be registered with a parcel service for collection or dispatch. Once this has been done, the reservation is processed as revenue and the stock level is permanently reduced. The website has been designed for users without a keyboard and is optimised for use with a touchscreen. The Pack & Ship website is highly configurable in how it operates, and this help guide describes all available options.
For each collected sales order reservation, the Pack & Ship website prints a parcel service track and trace label. This applies not only to deliveries via external parcel services (such as DHL, PostNL, etc.) but also to internal deliveries and customer collections. RetailVista has an internal “parcel service” for its own deliveries and collections, which prints RetailVista track and trace labels with its own internal track and trace barcode.
By using the Pack & Ship website, it is no longer possible for reservations to go missing or be left lying around without clarity about which order they belong to or which customer they are for. Every reservation package is always provided with a track and trace label.
