Sales channels are used to distinguish the origin of orders coming from a single webshop. This is mainly relevant for webshop brokers, such as EffectConnect. This broker is configured as one webshop in RetailVista, and order exchange takes place with that webshop. However, EffectConnect delivers orders from multiple underlying parties, such as bol.com or fonq. These underlying parties are the sales channels. On the sales order it is visible that the order originates from EffectConnect, and then from a specific sales channel, for example bol.com.

| Webshop | A sales channel always belongs to a specific webshop. That webshop must be selected here. |

| External code | This code must match or be aligned with the supplying party. Using the combination of webshop and this code, RetailVista searches for a sales channel when receiving an order message. If the channel does not yet exist or cannot be found, it will be created automatically during order reception. |
