How can I determine the balance of outstanding loyalty cards at the end of the year?
Through report 116 (Start, Loyalty) in RetailVista, the total balance of loyalty cards can be requested. This report shows the total value of all printed loyalty cards on the last page.
The total value of the loyalty cards must be compared to the value of the previous year to determine if the value has increased or decreased. It is important to print this report on 31/12 because RetailVista does not have historical loyalty card balances!
Unlike gift cards, loyalty cards never expire on their own. So it is not possible (and not necessary) to print a separate overview of expired loyalty cards. It is possible, however, that a customer loses a loyalty card during the year and transfers the balance to a new loyalty card. But then the value shifts and the total value remains unchanged. The only limitation of RetailVista at the moment is that the value of loyalty cards is not automatically depreciated after a certain period of time. It may happen that a customer never uses a loyalty card again (or loses it) and this balance remains active 'forever'. In the future, RetailVista will have functionality to depreciate an inactive balance. As a result, the total value of the loyalty cards will decrease.
