Sometimes it can be useful to make a choice at the cash register when paying with a gift card, whether the remaining amount of the gift card should be converted into a new return gift card or if the remaining amount is 'lost'. By creating two payment methods of the type 'Gift card integration', the minimum amount for one gift card can be chosen as 0.01 cent and 'Calculate change = No'. This ensures that any overpayment with a gift card does not result in change and does not result in a new return gift card.

For the other payment method, for example with the description 'Return gift card', the minimum amount should be chosen as 0.00 and 'Calculate change = No'. By using this payment method where more is paid with the gift card than the number of items purchased, a return gift card receipt will still be printed for the excess amount paid.
