With loss types, distinctions can be made between different kinds of losses.
The following fields are available:

| Description | Description of the loss type |
| Alternative ledger | Ledger code on which the loss is posted |
| Mandatory description | If this loss type is selected, providing a description of the loss is required |
| Expired | Marking this loss type as expired will prevent it from being shown when creating a new loss |
Currently, the ledger code has no function. There is no connection to an inventory journal as a result of losses.
