VeriFone P400 UK/Ireland - VeriFone P400 UK/Ireland
The VeriFone P400 PIN terminal requires a minimum POS v23.8.8628.25426.
Note! This needs to be on all POS terminals. Older POS versions do not recognize this type of terminal and will stop synchronizing.
This happens as soon as the terminal type BO is created.
See the image below this document for the synchronization error message that appears otherwise.
The customer should know the IP address of the PIN terminal. This is further configured
by VeriFone.
In the document that the customer receives from VeriFone (Verifone Installation Advice), the PED User ID and PED User PIN are provided.
(see image below) These are required for the custom string that needs to be added to the POS terminal group(s).
The currency is also mentioned here, in case of any doubts. (Ireland € / UK pounds)
Below is the structure of the custom product string.
EFT1Username=AAAA;EFT1Password=BBBB;EFT1ManagerPin=12345;EFT1CountryCode=CCC/DDD
PED User ID: AAAA (Verifone Installation Advice)
PED User PIN: BBBB (Verifone Installation Advice)
Manager/Supervisor PIN: 12345 (as far as I have seen so far, it is always 12345)
Country code: 372 (CCC) is for Euro and 826 (DDD) for Pounds
The custom string for the product above is:
EFT1Username=0576;EFT1Password=0576;EFT1ManagerPin=12345;EFT1CountryCode=826
